'I'm looking for deserted environments that symbolize emptiness. I fill that emptiness with a poëtic story by positioning the models a certain way. I've always been fascinated by the fact that people move unwittingly. We don't think about lifting our arms, pointing our hands and moving our fingers when scratching our nose. In my work I want my models to be super conscious of their movements. It's natural to move your body a certain way, but by doing it consciously it becomes unnatural.'
